Frontline ER Now Available to Medicare Patients

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Frontline ER understands America’s need for critical healthcare support during the COVID-19 health emergency. And because of CMS’ initiative to expand healthcare options, they are at the forefront providing much needed healthcare capacity.

“With the enactment of the COVID-19 Emergency Implementation Frontline ER is now an option to those patients to help ensure their safety and critical care.”

“CMS (the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) is creating additional flexibilities to allow freestanding emergency departments like Frontline ER participate in Medicare,” Laura Tschida said. “This is an opportunity for Frontline ER to help provide additional capacity to hospital resources while ensuring that care is not diminished.”

Ms. Tschida is regional marketing director for Frontline ER.

“Up until now, our category of healthcare facility has not been available to Medicare patients,” she continued. “With the enactment of the COVID-19 Emergency Implementation Frontline ER is now an option to those patients to help ensure their safety and critical care.”

Frontline ER’s facility minimizes contamination and lessens exposure to COVID-19 by employing these features:

  • Positive air pressure passing through HEPA filters which cleans each room after every use.
  • Private rooms rather than curtained or open areas.
  • Less traffic, less staff and fewer patients in a free-standing ER.

“Each professional at Frontline ER takes their personal health and patient safety very seriously,” Tomas Hinojosa, Facility Administrator for Frontline ER, said.

“All measures from hand washing, sanitizing, using face masks and wearing shields to avoid spreading or exposure to the virus is standard operating procedure and a way of life at Frontline ER,” Mr. Hinojosa said.

Frontline ER is a state-of-the-art freestanding emergency center providing diagnostics and treatment for patients 24/7. Equipped to provide pediatric and trauma emergency care as well as treatment of workplace and household injuries, Frontline ER serves Dallas County and Fort Bend County with locations in East Dallas and Richmond, Texas.
